Before Christina Grimmie‘s tragic death in June, the star was working on a series of music videos for her four-song EP, Side A.

On Thursday, the singer’s family released the first clip, for the opening song, “Snow White,” through Billboard.

In the music video, Grimmie plays a character called Jessica Blue, a young girl who’s on a journey of self-discovery. Three more music videos will be released for “The Ballad of Jessica Blue.”

“‘Jessica is at a crossroads in her life. She becomes suspicious of her boyfriend and is gripped by insecurities only to realize that she is doing more damage to her own heart and future than any relationship ever could,” her manager, Brian Teefey, shared on Grimmie’s Twitter account.

“Jessica has an upcoming showcase where she hopes to prove to herself and others that her music is as strong as her desire to be great … Jessica is torn between boyfriend issues, her creative issues and a general feeling of self-doubt.”

The former Voice contestant was laid to rest nearly two months ago, and more than 1,500 friends, family and fans showed up to remember her at an emotional public memorial service in New Jersey.

“This crowd has blessed me beyond words,” her father Bud told the crowd. “There is this gigantic hole in my heart that I know is never going to go away but God showed me he is way bigger than that hole. I believe that.”
