Christina Aguilera says Hillary Clinton is helping America’s women – in more ways than one.

During her Monday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Voice coach jokes of a 2012 photo where Clinton appeared to look at her cleavage, “She was staring at my bosoms.”

“It’s amazing,” Aguilera tells Ellen DeGeneres of the image, taken at the McGovern Awards, where the singer was honored for her work as a U.N. World Food Programme Ambassador. “It’s awesome.”

Aguilera continues, “She supports the girls … They need support.”

The star hosted a campaign fundraiser for Clinton last fall at her Beverly Hills home, calling the former Secretary of State, “a tireless advocate for everyday Americans and their families.”

A source told PEOPLE at the time, “When Hillary announced she was running, Christina and her immediately connected. Christina has been outspoken about having strong female role models and she feels Hillary is just that – fearless and a fighter.”

On Monday, Aguilera says of the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, “she’s amazing,” teasing, “The girls are covered up. It’s serious business now.”

Aguilera also plays a musical game of DeGeneres’ app Heads Up, singing in character as everyone from Katy Perry to Whitney Houston.

She even nails a Rihanna impression, performing a version of the singer’s hit “Work.”
