The new mom took to Instagram to reveal the reality of postpartum just four days after giving birth to Miles. Teigen dressed in postpartum mesh underwear, which she called “Asian pear underwear” (while holding a wrapped pear), making a reference to Ali Wong‘s Netflix special, Hard Knock Wife. Wong candidly speaks about the undergarment made specifically for new mothers, comparing it to the fruit wrap.
WHEN HE WON AN EMMY & REACHED EGOT STATUS
Legend won an Emmy (along with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice) at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards in September for producing Jesus Christ Superstar Live. This win officially put him at EGOT status (and the youngest person to achieve it, at that), which means he’s won awards at the Emmys, the Grammys, the Oscars and the Tonys.
WHEN SHE RELEASED HER SECOND COOKBOOK
Teigen announced that her second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More, was available for preorder in June. The book is filled with “recipes for quick-as-a-snap meals; recipes for lighter, brighter, healthier-ish living; and recipes that, well, are gonna put you to bed, holding your belly.”
WHEN SHE LAUNCHED HER TARGET KITCHEN LINE
After Teigen announced her second cookbook, she had some more big news in September: a kitchen and tabletop collection sold exclusively at Target. The collection, also called Cravings, features everything from pots and pans to decorative mugs and dessert plates.

The couple starred in their own NBC Christmas special, titled A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy, which aired Nov. 28. The show revolved around Legend’s holiday album, A Legendary Christmas, and included several celeb cameos, including Stevie Wonder, Kim Kardashian West and Crazy Rich Asians breakout Awkwafina.

Teigen presented her hubby with the Hugo Boss Most Stylish Man Award at GQ’s award show in London in September.

WHEN THEY VACATIONED IN BALI — WITH THE KIDS
The married duo took their 2-year-old daughter, Luna, and 10-week-old son, Miles, on a family vacation to Bali, Indonesia, in July. Teigen and Legend documented their trip for their followers on social media, including shots of the 32-year-old mom breastfeeding Miles — and Luna’s baby doll.
“Luna making me feed her babydoll so I guess I have twins now,” Teigen wrote alongside a silly photo of herself.
WHEN THEY CELEBRATED FIVE YEARS OF MARRIAGE
The big 5! The happy couple celebrated five years of marriage (and a total of 12 years since meeting) in September.
“12 years ago today, I met the man of my dreams. And 5 years ago today, we got married. We have two babies and some pups and a life I am grateful to have. My everything, I love you and am so proud of the story we’ve created,” Teigen captioned a shot of them on their wedding day on Instagram.

The model, who has been collaborating with the beauty brand since 2017, launched a holiday-themed makeup collection in October. The “Glow Kitchen Kit” and “Lip Icing Glow Gloss Kit” are inspired by holiday scents like “cinnamon churro.”
WHEN HE WAS NAMED WSJ'S INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR
The “All of Me” singer made the Wall Street Journal magazine’s cover as one of their 10 innovators of 2018 in November.
“I was always inspired by people who spoke out, whether they were artists or activists or politicians who went against the grain,” Legend told WSJ. “I always thought that was part of what it meant to be impactful in the world.”
WHEN SHE WAS NAMED GLAMOUR'S WOMAN OF THE YEAR
Teigen was named one of Glamour‘s women of the year in November, receiving their “Influencer” award.
“I never thought I’d be the kind of person who would win anything,” Teigen said at the awards ceremony. “I was used to being on [Legend’s] arm. I was excited to support him and be there, but this is an honor.”
