Talking Dead‘s Chris Hardwick is a married man!
The stand-up comedian, Nerdist CEO and talk show host wed his actress fiancée Lydia Hearst on Saturday, PEOPLE exclusively reports.
Hardwick, 44, and Hearst, 31, said their nuptials in front of about 450 guests – including Connie Britton, James Corden, Vince Gilligan, Olivia Munn, Sarah Silverman, Michael Sheen, Whitney Cummings, Kumail Nanjiani, Kristen Schaal, Paul Feig, Craig Ferguson, Yvette Nicole Brown, Reggie Watts and Aisha Tyler – at the Pasadena, California, wedding by Mindy Weiss.
The couple had two officiants at their Pasadena nuptials: Rev. Edward Dumke (who married Patricia Hearst and Bernard Shaw) and actress Jaime King.
Hearst wore a custom-designed Christian Siriano gown while the @Midnight host donned a custom Prada suit.
Both bride and groom share a love for science fiction, and even the florist, Mark Held, drew inspiration from the couple’s favorite science fiction and comic book series. Red roses, Tardis blue hydrangea and Vanda orchids were just a few of the flowers that added a unique touch to the nuptials.
When asked about what is important to have at a wedding, Hardwick told PEOPLE: “You know, traditional things like zombies, Jawas, astromech droids, Blue Star Donuts and a TARDIS cake.”
At the reception, guests dined on an elaborate four-course meal, which included Thai spiced prawns, arugula salad, Chilean sea bass, beef filet and of course, their wedding cake.
Just before the wedding, Hearst told PEOPLE she expects to be “blissfully happy” after the couple’s big day.
“I could never have envisioned a more perfect wedding day,” she says. “It’s better and more magical than I could have ever dreamed of … It’s going to be perfect, and even if it isn’t that’s how it was meant to be. I’m more excited than anything else!”
As for the cherry on top of her day? Nothing more than her main man.
“The groom,” she says about the most important components involved in the event. “Everything else is just a bonus, but Chris is the most important person and vital component to me … This is a celebration of our love and an incredible moment to share with our family and friends.”
On Friday, the Walking Dead after-show host shared a snap from the couple’s wedding rehearsal. “Wedding rehearsal! #AllTheEmoji” he captioned the photo, which was taken by his bride’s mother, Patricia Hearst.
The bride also shared her excitement for the big day on the eve of her wedding with her Instagram followers and posted a zombie-themed, comic-filtered photo of her and Hardwick.
“My love for you will never die @hardwick,” the heiress penned of the image.
A week prior to her wedding, she gave fans a preview look at the back of her white dress on Instagram. “I am truly blessed to have you in my life @hardwick. I love you, and I will never stop loving you. I cannot wait to marry you in one week,” she stated.
Hardwick proposed to Hearst on Sept. 13, 2015 – the night of the Emmys – with a ring passed down by her grandmother.
The blissful bride said she is most looking forward her future with Hardwick.
“I cannot wait to share my life with Chris,” she told PEOPLE. “He’s my love, my partner, my friend, everything!”
