He’s a superhero off-screen, too.

Chris Evans, best known as Hollywood’s Captain America, made the world a better place for one boy in particular on Monday – thrilling 9-year-old Kenny Botting, who’s battling a brain tumor, with a surprise visit to his Boston care center.

Botting received an autograph and gifts from Evans, and took pictures with him, WBZ-TV reports. The boy then took the action star, 33, on a tour of the facility, which is called Christopher’s Haven.

“It’s their strength that gives me strength. No matter what hurdles are in my life, it’s nothing compared to what these families go through, so any way I can bring a smile, it’s worth it,” said Evans.

The actor hails from Sudbury, Massachusetts, and is in town for an event at Fenway Park to raise money for Christopher’s Haven.

“I am more than happy,” Botting said. “I just want to say thank thanks for coming.”
