Beekeeper Sets New Guinness Record by Covering Himself in More Than 1 Million Bees
Gao Bingguo covered his body in 240 lbs.' worth of bees to break the world record for heaviest bee coat
Should you ever want the Guinness World Record for heaviest bee coat, the bar was raised on Monday by Gao Bingguo, 55, a beekeeper hailing from Tai’an, China.
His coat of bees weighted 240 lbs., easily breaking the previously record of 188 lbs. That’s an estimated 1.1 million bees. According to an ABC News report. Bingguo was wearing only his underwear when he had his fellow beekeepers place queen bees on him in order to attract more bees.

In case you’re wondering, he’s smoking a cigarette to keep the bees out of his mouth. And yes, he was stung in the process – more than 2,000 times, according to ABC News.
