Thousands of lip-dub videos are uploaded to YouTube every day, and we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that a few hundred are dedicated to covering Katy Perry‘s hit song “Roar.”

But this video is different. It celebrates the deeper meaning behind Perry’s song and proves that a bunch of children can be brave, strong and beat the odds – and have fun while they’re at it.

The kids at the Children s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire – along with nurses, doctors, support staff, families and even administrators – came together and filmed this sweet, sassy and stirring rendition of “Roar.” The video was shot in one day, and the footage captures almost all the kids at CHaD who were “feeling well enough to get out of bed and dance,” according to Londonderry Patch.

Funds raised through the sharing of the video will benefit the CHaD Hero Half Marathon. So far, the response has been astounding – to the tune of more than $650,000.
