Cheryl Burke’s dance card is finally full.

After an admittedly bad dating stretch that left her pondering a go on The Bachelorette, Burke, 28, is now stepping out with hockey player Joffrey Lupul.

The pair, who met in June when the Dancing with the Stars pro hosted the 2012 NHL Awards in Las Vegas, got cozy Wednesday at the Jockey for a Cause event at the opening of the Del Mar horse racing season.

Burke and Lupul, 28, of the Toronto Maple Leafs, held hands, snuck kisses and cheered the horses. During an afterparty at a private estate they sipped Patron cocktails and mingled with jockeys and stars, including Natasha Henstridge, Laura Prepon and the Real Housewives‘ Gretchen Rossi.

And while the relationship is in the earliest stages, female celebs have enjoyed some success with men from the rink.

Carrie Underwood is married to Mike Fisher of the Nashville Predators and Hilary Duff recently had a baby with husband Mike Comrie, who retired from the sport after playing for several NHL teams.
