Chelsea Takes a Break

First daughter Chelsea Clinton, 20, plans to take a breather from school this fall. The White House announced Thursday that the Stanford student will skip the first quarter of her senior year in order to help her mother, Hillary Clinton, campaign for New York’s U.S. Senate seat. She also wants to spend more time with her father, who is winding down his eight years in office, said Mrs. Clinton’s spokeswoman, Lissa Muscatine. Chelsea Clinton will still graduate from Stanford on schedule next spring, having accumulated enough credits so that her brief hiatus with the folks will have no effect on her academic progress, Muscatine added.
