HERE COMES THE BRIDE
Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Mezvinsky! Before 400 guests – but not before a media deluge – former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton and longtime beau Marc Mezvinsky tied the knot July 31 in Rhinebeck, N.Y.
Former President Bill Clinton fulfilled his duty as father of the bride to the fullest – by walking Chelsea, 30, down the aisle.
IN THE MOMENT
Clad in a strapless silk organza Vera Wang gown, Chelsea paid homage to one of her guests – the designer herself – while Marc donned a tuxedo made by Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey.
A NEW CHAPTER
“We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together,” Bill and Hillary Clinton said in a statement about the couple, “and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family.”
The newlywed poses with her mother and grandmother, Dorothy Rodham, 91, who helped plan the joyous event. “It was important to Hillary to share her daughter’s day with her own mother,” says a friend.
“These are two wonderful human beings that have sensitivity about life and have a warm regard for family,” Marc’s father, onetime Iowa Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, has said of the couple, “and that’s what it’s all about.”
