Charlize Theron and boyfriend Sean Penn seem cozier than ever lately, as the Oscar-winning actress continues to gush about her beau. The pair stepped out on Saturday, this time joined by Theron’s adorable son Jackson for their first public event as a family.

The trio attended the GenerationOn block party in Los Angeles on Saturday, a global youth service charity for kids and teenagers. Theron, 39, and Penn, 54, joined William Morris Endeavor talent agency CEO Ari Emanuel for the awards portion of the event, where three-year-old Jackson happily enjoyed a snow cone.

Theron, wearing a simple ensemble, balanced the toddler on her lap before presenting Emanuel with the William Morris Endeavor award for the youth service division of the Points of Light charity.

Theron and Penn have been dating since early 2014. A source close to the Dark Places actress told PEOPLE in January that “Charlize says this is it. Jackson already calls Sean ‘Daddy.’ ”

The couple is collaborating on-screen as well for the 2015 drama film The Last Face, starring Theron and directed by Penn.
