Channing Tatum may be "fat and happy" these days, but you can bet he’ll be in fine form again – in time for Magic Mike 2.

The new dad, 33, posted a fun photo on Instagram Sunday night, showing off his script-writing process. In the pic, Tatum is sitting at a desk with a pen in his mouth and paper in hand, staring at a bust of costar Matthew McConaughey.

“What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe,” Tatum captioned the picture.

The original Magic Mike, based loosely on Tatum’s real stripper past, won over fans with its scandalous dance scenes and surprisingly dark plot. But Tatum – who has said that he might direct the sequel – says the upcoming film will be a more comedic romp.

“It will be a road trip movie, and it will essentially be the movie that everyone thought the first one was going to be,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in June. “The first one, we had to make not so cheesy and campy; this one we are going to swing for the fences.”

There are also plans to bring some musical Magic to Broadway: Tatum Tweeted the news in July, and costar Alex Pettyfer has said he’d “absolutely” take his streaking talents to the Great White Way.
