Celine Dion Launches New Scent, Belong
The songbird's flowery Asian scent identifies her as a wife, mother and confident woman
Britney, Liz, Beyonce and Jennifer, move over – Celine Dion has unleashed her new fragrance, Belong, which she says identifies her as a wife, a mother and a confident woman.
“In Belong, Celine reveals a little bit more of the woman Coty has come to know behind the scenes,” Eric Thoreux, president of Coty Beauty Americas, says in a statement. “The new fragrance reflects where Celine is right now in her life – enjoying her family when she is out of the spotlight.”
The songbird, 36, is said to have been involved in every aspect of the development of Belong, which has a modern floral Asian scent, formulated by Christophe Raynaud of Symrise. Dion also oversaw the design of the bottle, a pentagon shape that represents her lucky number five.
It also has a silver top in lilac packaging with a limited-edition black-and-white image of Dion on one side.
“This fragrance is about celebrating life,” says Dion. “It’s about a woman’s inner beauty, her confidence, her passion and her sensuality. It’s the way I like to feel about myself.”
