BRITNEY SPEARS
Britney Spears, who is expecting her first child with husband Kevin Federline in the fall, has been busy trying out her mommy skills on stepdaughter Kori, 2 (with Spears in Hollywood on May 6). And now, Spears is making space for her own baby. "My mom and I are going to start talking about ideas this week for the baby's room," she wrote on a recent posting on her web site.

JENNIFER GARNER
Although Jennifer Garner has been keeping her burgeoning belly under wraps, sources say the actress (on the Vancouver set of her romantic comedy Catch and Release on May 18) and fiancé Ben Affleck are three months into a pregnancy. And things seem to be working out according to Garner's plan: When asked in 2001 where she saw herself in 10 years, she replied, "Happily married, working, (with) a couple of kids."

DENISE RICHARDS
"In the beginning I did have morning sickness," Denise Richards said in February of her second pregnancy. "It was worse this time around." Other changes were afoot as well: In March, Richards filed for divorce from Charlie Sheen, the father of her daughter Sam, now 1 (in Santa Monica in April). Still, when she gives birth next month, Richards won't be going it alone. "He wants to be around to enjoy the birth of his child," says a friend of Sheen.

CHRISTINE TAYLOR
Meet the parents! Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor (in L.A. on May 6) have baby No. 2 on the way this summer. And daughter Ella, who's 3, is already following in Dad's footsteps: "She's definitely a ham," says Taylor. "And a minidirector. She'll say, 'Okay, Daddy, you stand in the kitchen – I have an idea.' And the way she uses hand motions! She's channeling him in so many ways."

MARTINA MCBRIDE
When country singer Martina McBride (at the CMT Music Awards last month) gives birth in June, her little one will have a built-in playgroup: big sisters Delaney, 10, and Emma, 7. And though McBride (who's been married to John McBride since 1988) performs while pregnant, she won't tour when her kids are in school. "(My businesspeople) have said to me, 'Why don't you leave them at home? ''' she says. "I say, 'Because I'm the mommy.'"

ALICE CAGE
No one could accuse Nicolas Cage and wife Alice Cage (nee Kim) of taking things slow. Just six months after they met, the pair (in L.A. last month) eloped in July 2004, and now they're expecting their first child (Cage has a son, Weston, 14, with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton). Despite speeding things along, the 41-year-old actor and his much younger bride (she's reportedly 20 years his junior) are off to a strong start. "I'm definitely content," Cage told PEOPLE last year, "and I'm hopeful about the future."

ANGIE HARMON
Angie Harmon knows exactly when she'll meet her next baby: She's having a planned Caesarean birth on June 22. The actress, who is mom to 19-month-old daughter Finley Faith (Dad is football player Jason Sehorn), doesn't mind making wardrobe adjustments. In Hollywood on May 1, she wore a Pea in the Pod maternity gown. "There comes a point when a size 10 or 12 isn't going to do it," she explains.

HEIDI KLUM
"She's the sexiest she could ever be when she's pregnant," says Seal of new wife Heidi Klum (in New York City in April), whom he wed on May 10 in Mexico. The supermodel, who is due in October, is already mom to Leni, 1 (with ex-boyfriend Flavio Briatore) – and she's not worried about balancing work and parenthood. "If you like what you do, you can juggle everything," she says. "And I love being a mom."

MICHELLE WILLIAMS
Heath Ledger has dated a bevy of Hollywood blondes, including Heather Graham and Naomi Watts, but his relationship with his Brokeback Mountain costar Michelle Williams (in Sydney, Australia, last month) has been his most low-profile – and, it seems, his most serious. Sources close to the couple say Williams, who has been attending prenatal yoga classes in Australia, is expecting their first child.

RACHEL GRIFFITHS
Six Feet Under star Rachel Griffiths (at an Oscars party in L.A. in February) is all about comfort during her pregnancy: Even on the red carpet, she dons loose-fitting clothing. That way, "I can eat and sit and be comfortable," she says. Good thing, since her baby – due in June – has been kicking "a little bit!" Griffiths is also mom to 18-month-old son Banjo, with artist husband Andrew Taylor.

TALISA SOTO
Benjamin Bratt once said he split with Julia Roberts because he was looking for someone more "maternal." "If I'm with (a woman)," he told Latina magazine, "my intention is to make her the mother of my children." Mission accomplished: Bratt and Talisa Soto (in San Francisco last month), who wed in 2002, are awaiting the arrival of their second child this fall. Daughter Sophia is 2 1/2.

AMY BRENNEMAN
Amy Brenneman is expecting her second child with director husband Brad Silberling this month (their daughter, Charlotte, is 4). But the Judging Amy star (at the Oscars in February) isn't fretting about dropping her baby weight. "My trick is to just make sure I break a sweat every couple of days," she says, "whether it's from actual exercise or housecleaning or playing with my daughter."
