Celeb Couples Who Celebrated Engagements and Weddings at Disney Parks
See who popped the question and said 'I Do' at the happiest places on earth
Jordan Fisher & Ellie Woods
Surrounded by an intimate group of their closest loved ones (all masked and socially distanced), the longtime loves said "I do" in a private Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding ceremony in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort on Nov. 21, 2020.
The Dancing with the Stars champion and Woods, a clinical nutritionist, exchanged custom vows outdoors at the stroke of midnight on the back courtyard of the Cinderella Castle before celebrating their new union with a pared-down reception.
Forgoing a traditional dinner and dance party to keep their loved ones safe, the newlyweds simply shared a romantic first dance and cut into a multi-tier wedding cake before being whisked off in a vintage car down Main Street to Fisher's song, "Happily Ever After," which he recorded for the Magic Kingdom Park.
Getting married after the park closed was "so cool," adds Woods. "We didn't see any of the set-up until it was actually happening, and I remember walking into the park being like, 'This is unbelievable.' They did a wonderful job."
Tim Tebow & Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters
After popping the question in Jacksonville, Florida, in January 2019, Tebow and his fiancée continued their celebrations two hours south to Orlando, where they partied with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Dumbo and the rest of the Disney gang.
“Congratulations @timtebow & @demileighnp on your engagement! 💍 Wishing you a happily ever after. ✨” Disney Weddings captioned a photo on Instagram Friday of the pair smiling outside of Cinderella’s iconic castle.
“The two celebrated their engagement at the most magical place on earth with their friends and family. 💕 ” they added of the couple’s romantic milestone.
In another photo, Tebow and Nel-Peters happily snuggled up to each other as they were captured smiling on the Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride.
One year later, they wed in her native South Africa.
Kaley Cuoco & Karl Cook
In December 2017, the Big Bang Theory star and her beau went on their own little magical adventure with friends following Cook's proposal. The day included some smiling selfies, a group shot and a yummy-looking dessert with "Going to the chapel…" written in chocolate on the serving plate.
"He took me to Disneyland and it was pure magic 🎉 💍" Cuoco captioned an Instagram post. "Mad love for this group that surrounds me!"
The pair tied the knot the following summer.
John Stamos & Caitlin McHugh
Dreams do come true! After nearly two years of dating McHugh, Stamos proposed to the actress at Disneyland, Stamos's rep said in a statement to PEOPLE in October 2017. He made a short film of romantic moments from animated Pixar and Disney films, ending the display with The Little Mermaid — which encouraged Stamos to "just ask the girl."
The Disney regulars also returned to the happiest place on earth for their honeymoon following their winter 2018 wedding.
Erin Andrews & Jarret Stoll
For the Dancing with the Stars co-host, a dinner at Disneyland's exclusive Club 33 with her then-boyfriend didn't give off any engagement vibes in December 2016. "We went there for Christmas to see the Christmas decorations, and we had a lovely dinner there, and he did it right there at dinner at Disneyland," Andrews said during a Good Morning America appearance. "I was bawling like a child."
The pair married in Montana in June 2017.
Rob Dyrdek & Bryiana Noelle
In April 2015, Dyrdek and his girlfriend took the next step in their relationship when the Fantasy Factory star popped the question in the middle of the Aladdin show at Disneyland. "She was definitely confused, but not surprised," Dyrdek tweeted of his antics, sharing that he showed up on stage on an elephant during the show to ask Noelle the all-important question. "When you date me you become accustomed to my version of normal." Just five months later, they tied the knot.
Corbin Bleu & Sasha Clements
Standing in front of Cinderella's Castle right before the park's signature fireworks show in 2014, Bleu surprised Clements with an engagement ring he had placed inside a glass slipper. "I'm very excited to begin this next chapter of my life with the woman who stole my heart," the former High School Musical star, who first met Clements at a grocery store in 2011, told PEOPLE.
Their wedding followed, in July 2016.
Dot-Marie Jones & Bridgett Casteen
The Glee star popped the question to her lady love on Anaheim Gay Days, Disneyland's annual event that draws more than 30,000 LGBT visitors and allies, in 2013. "It's the happiest day of my life," Jones told The Advocate. "I never thought I'd find somebody that is so loving and kind." That winter, they exchanged I Dos.
Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson
Following their whirlwind engagement after a few weeks of dating, Grande and Davidson hit up Disneyland for rides and fun in June 2018. The singer documented their adventure on her Instagram Story, sharing videos of her fiancé, making silly remarks mid-ride as she giggled.
The two parted ways that October.
Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon
With their twins in tow, the pair renewed their vows at Disneyland in 2013 in celebration of their fifth wedding anniversary.
All dressed up in matching prince and princess costumes, Carey and daughter Monroe were picked up in a horse-drawn Crystal Carriage from a Dream Suite inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, then taken to Main Street to meet Cannon and son Moroccan. Together the family proceeded to Sleeping Beauty Castle, for the vow renewals.
“Do you believe in fairy tales?” was the theme for the ceremony – which concluded with fireworks over the castle spires, a pyrotechnic display that reportedly came as a total surprise to Carey and the couple’s 250 guests.
What followed was a reception in Fantasyland, deejayed by Cannon and accented by 15,000 flowers imported from South Africa, Holland and France and 10,000 crystals. Plus, guests enjoyed access to the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Peter Pan’s Flight, Snow White’s Adventures and the King Arthur Carousel, all of which were kept running.
Before the renewal of the vows, Moroccan and Monroe celebrated their birthdays with yet another famous couple: Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
One year after the lavish ceremony, Cannon filed for divorce.
Holly Madison & Pasquale Rotella
She and her groom exchanged vows on a flower-covered platform, posed in front of the iconic Disney castle and rode in Cinderella’s glass pumpkin coach.
The extravagant ceremony, attended by 150 friends and family, occurred after the California theme park was shut down for the night. The party ended with fireworks.
“It was really spectacular,” a guest told PEOPLE. “They spared no expense.”
The couple divorced in 2019.
