Shortly after Tweeting the cryptic message "Changes oh changes," the singer announced his split from his partner of five years in January. The two were together when Martin publicly came out as gay on his website in 2010, and last year, Martin told Vanity Fair that his boyfriend was supportive of his lifestyle, which includes twin sons Matteo and Valentino. "Complexity, understanding, and, at the same time, freedom, not being afraid that your partner is judging you. That is what I have found with Carlos," Martin said in 2012.

"Muskrat Love" is no more for '70s signing duo Toni Tennille (Cathryn Antoinette Tennille) and the Captain (Daryl Dragon), who filed for divorce in January after 39 years of marriage – and hit songs. After releasing their first album in 1974, the "Love Will Keep Us Together" team won a Grammy the following year. In 2010, Tennille revealed on her blog that Dragon was suffering from a neurological condition similar to Parkinson's that causes him to have tremors, which she said were "pretty severe at times" and interfered with his ability to play the keyboard.

After 16 years together, six years of marriage and one son, Kase Townes, Jewel announced on her blog on July 2 that she and professional bull rider Murray were divorcing. "We wanted our separation as husband and wife to be nothing less loving than the way we came together," she wrote. The split seemed to be amicable – just a few days later the duo spent the Fourth of July together.

It was a marriage that appeared to be inked forever, but just one day after wearing her wedding ring at the AFI tribute to Jane Fonda, Griffith filed for divorce on June 6 from her husband of 18 years and the father to their 18-year-old daughter Stella, saying in a statement that they would end their marriage "in a loving and friendly manner."

Less than a year after welcoming a son, the couple of two years, who originally met in 2005 while co-starring in a Green Day music video, called it quits on May 28.
