Ryan Seacrest, Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson Among Stars Taking the Stage for 'Think It Up' Education Campaign
The Entertainment Industry Foundation reveals to PEOPLE the star-studded lineup for its campaign aimed at improving education in America.
The Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), the same group behind "Stand Up to Cancer", is kicking off their new program on Sept. 11, when ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC will simultaneously broadcast the star-studded event, with the goal of renewing a sense of promise for all American students.
Beginning with the telecast, “Think It Up” will invite public middle and high school students to work with their teachers to develop projects that draw on their passions. Teachers can then post the project proposals to thinkitup.org, where supporters can contribute funds directly to individual projects.
The crowdfunding platform was launched in collaboration with DonorsChoose.org and received support of major contributors like Staples and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Along with support from visionaries and innovators in the education space and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, “Think It Up” will challenge students to dream big, and help teachers who bring out the best in their students.
