Hathaway is only a few months into motherhood, but her son Jonathan has already had a big impact on her. During a visit to the Ellen show, she said that being a mother makes her more confident – even while she's trying to lose the weight she gained during her pregnancy. "I walk in, I'm like, yeah, I work out with five-pound weights, but I pushed a baby out of my body so I feel good right now!" she said. "So I don't care what I look like, I feel great!"

Trump told PEOPLE motherhood taught her to "compartmentalize" so she could focus on the task at hand during different parts of her day. Another perk of being a mom in the workplace? She's laser-focused on getting things done. "I've learned to become incredibly efficient," Ivanka told Working Mother. "I don't stress about being balanced because the truth is parenting is unpredictable and you can't account for everything. Instead, I'm cognizant of my priorities and I wake up knowing what I need to accomplish personally and professionally and then I do everything I can to fulfill those goals."

Prince William said that becoming a father to Prince George and Princess Charlotte has made him feel things more intensely. "I never used to get too wound up or worried about things," he said. Adele says she's always been confident, but having a child only made her more proud of herself. In an interview with Time, she says that after giving birth to son Angelo, she's simply in awe of herself – and that she managed to create this little person. "He makes me so proud of myself, and he makes me like myself so much," she says of her 3-year-old son. "And I've always liked myself. I've never not liked myself. I don't have hangups like that. But I'm so proud of myself that I made him in my belly."

For Heigl, it wasn't winning an Emmy or starring in a number of super-successful movies that made her feel like a true grown-up – it was getting married and having a child. "With two children and a husband of almost seven years. I feel like I'm finally a legitimate grown-up," she told PEOPLE of becoming a mom to daughters Naleigh and Adelaide. As well, Heigl said motherhood has given her clarity on what matters most in life. "I have a deeper understanding about what really matters and whose opinion really matters," she said.

When Affleck looks back on the the moment in life that had the greatest impact on him, it wasn't a movie or even his Oscar nomination – it was the arrival of his two sons. "[Being a parent] sort of changed everything," he said. "It's far and away the best thing that ever happened to me." He went on to call the experience "transformative" and compared trying to explain the change to living in another galaxy.
