Celeb Power Couples
ANGELINA & BRAD
With a family of six, how do Jolie and Pitt juggle home life, successful careers (they're both nominated for Academy Awards), and their charity ventures (Pitt's helping rebuild hurricane-ravaged New Orleans; Jolie is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations)? "It's chaos at times," Pitt admitted to Britain's Daily Telegraph. "But there's such joy in the house."
NICOLE & JOEL
These days, the Good Charlotte frontman and the former wild child are better known for their charitable endeavors than outrageous exploits. Through their Richie-Madden Children's Foundation, the couple raised $10,000 for a playground for an L.A. children's shelter. "The charity stuff is emotional – every kid becomes your child," Madden, who is the proud dad to 1-year-old Harlow, told PEOPLE. "Every little baby deserves to be held and fawned over."
KATIE & TOM
There are few couples that can make headlines as readily as this A-list pair. Cruise netted a Golden Globe nod for his funny (and nearly unrecognizable!) turn in Tropic Thunder, while Holmes made her Broadway debut in All My Sons. And after two years of marriage, the honeymoon isn't over. "I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her," Cruise told T: The New York Times Style Magazine. "After our very first date, I was sure."
FAITH & TIM
Their résumé includes a whopping ten No. 1 albums between them, a record-breaking Soul2Soul joint tour and multiple Grammys (including two for their duets "Like We Never Loved at All" and "Let's Make Love"). So how do Hill and McGraw manage to stay so perfectly in tune? The crooner credits his wife of 12 years with keeping their marriage in check. "She's the boss, that's for sure," McGraw told PEOPLE. "And that's the way I like it."
BEN & JENNIFER
For Affleck and Garner, it was the year of expanding the family. The proud parents welcomed another daughter, Seraphina Rose, to join big sis Violet, 3. And though the politically minded actor was also busy stumping for Obama and promoting his film He's Just Not That Into You, he and Garner were always just a text away. "I correspond with my wife that way," he told reporters. "She's like, 'Get over here. Pick this s– up! It's time for you to go get our daughter!'"
BEYONCé & JAY-Z
The first couple of hip-hop already have 10 multi-platinum albums between them and a Grammy for their 2004 No. 1 collaboration "Crazy in Love." And '09 has already kicked off with some high notes: The twosome took in the historic Inaugural festivities together, capping off the event with B serenading President Obama and first lady Michelle for their first dance.
JADA & WILL
Smith and Pinkett Smith prove lasting love does exist in Hollywood: They celebrated their 11th anniversary last November. While Smith has cemented his status as Hollywood's $100 million dollar man (he's the first actor to have eight consecutive movie releases earning more than $100 million), how does the couple keep their marriage rock solid? In a word: Dedication. “The secret is removing divorce as an option," Smith told Essence. "Anyone who gives themselves that option will get a divorce."
JENNY & JIM
When he's not topping the box office (his latest film Yes Man opened at No. 1) and she's not raising awareness for autism, Carrey and McCarthy are committed to spending as much time with each other and the actress' 6-year-old Evan, whom the funnyman credits for teaching him how to love. But don't expect a walk down the aisle for this pair. Says McCarthy, "I don't need that piece of paper of commitment to prove my love."
POSH & BECKS
U.K.'s reigning Spice Girl and soccer star have (fashionably) mastered the American fame game after the family moved Stateside for Beckham to play for the L.A. Galaxy. But Posh is no soccer wife slouch: The stylish star has turned her attention to her clothing label dVb, which expanded to include a men's line last year. "Who better than David to be my muse!" she wrote on her Web site. We couldn’t agree more.
