The secret to the “Same Old Love” singer’s luscious locks? Hair conditioner. “Use conditioner every day,” she advises in an interview for Pantene. “I start from the root because it allows my hair to feel strong and moisturized from the root to the ends. It feels soft, which I love … it’s the best feeling, getting out of the shower and feeling your hair after conditioning.”
The “New Romantics” crooner learned her best beauty tricks from makeup artists on photo shoots. “They put on the red lipstick, then blot it with a tissue, then they put powder over the tissue and sort of press it onto your lips,” Swift recalls to Allure. “Then re-apply. It turns it into a stain that lasts much longer.”
When it comes to finding the perfect antidote for healthy hair, the Goop founder is open-minded, crediting her mane to pre-natal vitamins. “It doesn’t matter if you’re pregnant or not, I swear to God,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar. “I have double-processed blonde hair, and it’s not damaged – those [pre-natal] vitamins, they’re the trick! They make my hair grow thick, long and healthy when I take them.”
Have a pesky pimple you need to get rid of, stat? The Wild actress has the solution. “If I start to get blemishes, I add chlorophyll to my water and my skin clears up in three days,” Witherspoon told InStyle in 2011.
If you consider yourself a die-hard fan of all things natural, you might just want to take the Oscar winner’s advice. “I love using natural oils. I use avocado oil and Hawaiian kukui oil on my face,” she told Glamour in 2014. “I like to keep things natural, simple and straightforward.”
“No matter what, even if we have a super late night for some reason or an award show or whatever, I have to wash my face,” the performer reveals to POPSUGAR, inspiring fans everywhere to always remember to lather, rinse and repeat before bed.
Kaling has previously spoken out about having oily skin, and it wasn’t until late 2015 that The Mindy Project star came across a remedy, courtesy of her glam squad. “Sometimes I put glop on my face for beauty reasons. This one was cheapo and fun to mix and really worked,” she captioned her mud mask snapshot on Instagram, which featured Bragg’s Oranic Apple Cider Vinegar and Aztec Secret’s Indian Healing Clay. “It works! Plus it makes me look frightening.”
Don’t be fooled by the rocks that she’s got – J.lo is forever devoted to a $32 cream from Whole Foods she swears by named Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream. As for what she eats for better skin? The singer told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she believes eating oatmeal leads to a glowing complexion. We’ll take it!
“I love mascara,” the Scandal actress tells InStyle of her beauty must-have. “A good tip I learned: Let the coat dry before applying another swipe. It’s the best way to build.”
