Caitlyn Jenner took to Twitter on Wednesday to thank Orange Is the New Black actress Laverne Cox, both for her work in the trans community at large and for her public support of Jenner in recent months.

“You are fierce and fabulous!” Jenner, 65, Tweeted to Cox. “Your support means the world. Thank you for all you do for the community.”

Cox, 31, has previously made several statements supporting Jenner. Following Jenner’s interview with Diane Sawyer in April, Cox commended Jenner’s courage, saying, “It is always brave to stand in one’s truth.”

And after the debut of Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover, Cox wrote a lengthy post that said in part, “I am so moved by all the love and support Caitlyn is receiving. It feels like a new day, indeed, when a trans person can present her authentic self to the world for the first time and be celebrated for it so universally.”
