The astronaut and Dancing with the Stars contestant splits from wife after 23 years of marriage
Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon who gained new fame as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, has filed for divorce.
Aldrin, 81, and his third wife, Lois Driggs Cannon, have been married for 23 years. The couple tied the knot on Valentine’s Day, 1988. They have no children together.
He cites “irreconcilable difference” in his divorce petition filed in L.A. County Superior Court on Wednesday. According to the papers, the couple separated on Tuesday.
Aldrin competed on Dancing with the Stars last year.
