Bullock's Rehab Role

Sandra Bullock, recent winner of the People’s Choice Award as favorite female film star, is near a deal to star in “28 Days” under Betty Thomas’ direction for Columbia Pictures, reports Variety. Bullock, would play a newspaper columnist who is forced into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center after getting a traffic ticket for driving under the influence. The story then follows her serio-comic path to recovery.
