Talk about bosom buddies: The Producers costars Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane are planning to reunite once again, this time as roomies in a revival of Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple, Variety reports.

Having already conquered Broadway with their Tony-winning Producers, Broderick and Lane will take another crack at the legendary play, which was adapted into both a film (starring Walter Matthau as Oscar Madison and Jack Lemmon as Felix Unger) and TV series (starring Jack Klugman as Oscar and Tony Randall as Felix).

As the story goes, the famously messy Oscar and obsessively tidy Felix are two middle aged men who decide to share an apartment after both of their marriages fall apart.

Meanwhile, Broderick and Lane will soon begin filming a movie version of The Producers, in which they will revive their beloved roles as Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom.

The Odd Couple is expected to open in August 2005.
