The Britney Spears-Kevin Federline UPN reality show Britney and Kevin: Chaotic hasn’t exactly been setting the Nielsen ratings on fire, but the duo have an extra added attraction in store for Tuesday night’s season finale: the world premiere of the video for her new single, “Someday (I Will Understand).”

In the finale, titled “Veil of Secrecy,” Spears, 23, and Federline, 27, reveal how they kept the secret of their surprise wedding ceremony last September in Studio City, Calif. Even closest friends and family were kept in the dark.

As PEOPLE reported at the time, some 20 friends and family members –including Spears’s mother, Lynne, and sister, Jamie Lynn – attended the surprise wedding. Britney wore a white dress and Kevin a black tuxedo as the couple exchanged vows.

At the reception, “we were dancing and I remember her dad sitting in the doorway,” Federline, tearing up at the memory, told PEOPLE. “The way he was looking at me, he was just letting me know that everything was okay. I was worried, because you want your wife’s father to be okay with you. But when I saw him, it was great.”

Added Spears: “It was perfect.”

Since the show’s May 17 debut, TV critics have given it mixed reviews. “One sure thing about Britney Spears’s new reality TV show: There’s no danger of anyone ever dumbing it down,” judged The Washington Post.

Then again, the New York Post (having given the premiere three out of four stars) crowed, “Finally, a reality series that doesn’t gloss over the dross. … Who would have thought it would take bubbly, bubble-gum Britney Spears to bring us the first hint of reality in a reality show since The Osbournes?”

As for ratings, Chaotic fell to a season-low of 2.5 million viewers for the week that ended June 5, putting it in 92nd place.
