The 34-year-old singer dropped her sultry new single “Make Me” late Thursday night – the first track from her upcoming ninth studio album Spears is sexy and subdued in the smooth song, a much more relaxed offering than the pop princess’s usual hits. The song is her first new music release since last summer’s bubble gum collaboration with Iggy Azalea, “Pretty Girls.” The blonde bombshell also released the artwork from the upcoming track, showing off her toned body while walking through the desert wrapped in a white piece of fabric and wearing a killer pair of thigh-high boots. The track features “Me, Myself & I” rapper G-Eazy. Speculation of their collaboration began when Spears shared a photo of the two on her Instagram page. In a fun ’00s redux, she edged out ex Justin Timberlake for the top spot on iTunes. Only time will tell which banger will emerge triumphant as 2016’s Song of the Summer. The still-untitled album – her first since 2013’s “Britney Jean” – will also feature the track “Private Show,” which Spears teased early this week in the video release for her new fragrance of the same name. The singer also recently appeared on the Orlando charity tribute “Hands.” She’s been hard at work on her new album for over two years, telling V Magazine earlier this year that the LP is “the best thing I’ve done in a long time.” “I m proud of the work, and it’s very different; it s not what you would think at all,” Spears said. “But I’m not rushing anything. I just want it to be done right, so that my fans will truly appreciate it.” “Make Me” is currently streaming on Apple Music and is available for download at iTunes.
