Britney Spears is single and mingling, and even she has her fair share of awkward dates.

The “Make Me” singer, who graces the October cover of Marie Claire UK, revealed to the publication that famous people are prone to really bad dating experiences.

“I had a really bad date. I mean, it was really bad,” Spears, 34, confessed. “I’ve been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn’t like me. In the evening I got on the scales and I had lost 6 lbs.”

Though her nerves got the best of her, the mother of two recalled that the date just wasn’t working.

“We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn’t working. It was sort of awkward. So after the movie I came home and that was it,” she said, adding, “He just wasn’t that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn’t feel the same. It happens to everybody. Being famous doesn’t make you any different.”

Brit’s last romance was with TV producer Charlie Ebersol, whom she dated for eight months until June 2015.

Men come and go but the two loves of Spears’ life are definitely her sons with ex Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, 10, and Jayden James, 9.

“Becoming a mother and being with my boys has made me so much more accepting of myself. I’m their mom, whatever. That has been a really big thing for me over these last few years,” she shared.
