In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, Bristol Palin shared a cute photo of her brother Trig.

“World Down Syndrome Day!! I don’t know how our family got so lucky to have this handsome boy,” Palin, 25, wrote on Instagram. “Light of our lives without a doubt.”

However, one fan soured the comment section by criticizing the 7-year-old, who can be seen wearing Donald Trump‘s “Make America Great Again” beanie in the photo.

“Yep that’s Trump’s target demographic,” the fan wrote, which prompted Bristol to lash back in response.

“I wish I knew who you were, hope you don’t happen to be a nurse with any child with Down syndrome. You are pathetic,” the protective older sister wrote.

In January, Trig and Bristol’s mother Sarah Palin endorsed Trump for president, crediting the current GOP frontrunner as a “new and independent” voice.

“Trig Paxson Van Palin, thank you for all you do to help us see the beauty of life!” Palin, 52, gushed about her youngest child on her website Monday.

Palin’s husband Todd – who is Trig and Bristol’s father – remains in recovery following a serious snowmobile accident on March 14 which resulted in a broken shoulder blade, clavicle and multiple ribs as well as injured knee and leg.

The former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate announced her husband’s incident mere hours before attending Trump’s rally in Tampa, Florida.
