Is Brandi Glanville turning over a new leaf in the new year?

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took to Twitter on Thursday to react to her ex Eddie Cibrian telling PEOPLE that she "lies for the sake of publicity" after Glanville said in an interview that she had asked his wife LeAnn Rimes, 33, to stop posting photos of her children on social media.

“It upsets me,” Cibrian, 42, told PEOPLE exclusively Wednesday. “She has to bring in my wife unfortunately for it to make headlines. It isn’t fair. She never asked LeAnn to not post pictures of the kids during the holidays, ever. They don’t even talk!”

Cibrian went on to explain that Glanville, 43, sees the kids as much as he does, calling her comments “disheartening” because their sons Mason, 12 and Jake, 8, “can get on the Internet and get influenced by this negativity that only comes from one side.”

“It’s unfortunate. She won’t [leave us alone],” Cibrian added. “One day, I hope it all goes away, because it’s been long enough.”

At first, Glanville was furious: “Sad that my ex has to go to the press &call me a liar when HIS LIES broke up our family,” she wrote Thursday in now-deleted tweet captured by E! News. “He knows I cud just share our emails& be vindicated.”

In another since-deleted tweet, the reality star wrote: “1last note. What mom wouldn’t want HER kids full time? They have been with me since birth.Im glad they have Leann to support them cuz u can’t.”
