Celebrity Brad Pitt Protected By People Staff Published on May 5, 1999 12:00 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Brad Pitt was granted a temporary restraining order against a teen-ager accused of breaking into his home and trying on his clothes. Athena Marie Rolando, 19, was barred Monday from contacting the star or coming within 100 yards of him. The “Meet Joe Black” star said Rolando left “many menacing and bizarre letters” at the front gate of his home beginning in September 1996. She wrote him a letter of apology for placing a “chant” on him and former girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow more than three years ago. “I was young and selfish … I am sorry … I didn’t think it would work, and your eyes have haunted me since then,” the letter said. Rolando hoisted herself through a window of Pitt’s Los Angeles area home on Jan. 7, police said. A caretaker found her wearing some of Pitt’s clothes and sleeping in a bedroom. Afterwards she apologized and laughed off the incident.
