Brad Pitt hit the El Rey Theatre on Wednesday night ready for a “Shakedown.”

The actor was spotted solo outside of the Los Angeles venue after singer-songwriter Valerie June’s sold-out performance.

Pitt kept it simple and wore jeans and a zip-up jacket with his white t-shirt for the concert. June, 35, is currently touring her album The Order of Time.

June and Pitt posed for a photo together, which she shared to Instagram with a note teasing a new personal project. “Well, alright y’all! Brad Pitt came to the show tonight,” she wrote.

“And I couldn’t help but talk about a new Memphis Film+Music Project I’ve been keeping a secret!!! It’s still a secret, but he had to know! More soon!”

The 53-year-old Pitt has spent most of the past month promoting his new Netflix satire, War Machine, in which he stars as Gen. Glenn McMahon, a character based on former U.S. Army General Stanley McChrystal.

In a recent, wide-reaching interview with GQ Style for its summer issue, Pitt got candid about the divorce from Angelina Jolie and how it has changed his approach to his family.

“I grew up with a Father-knows-best/war mentality—the father is all-powerful, super strong—instead of really knowing the man and his own self-doubt and struggles. And it’s hit me smack in the face with our divorce: I gotta be more,” he shared. “I gotta be more for them. I have to show them. And I haven’t been great at it.”
