Listed on Tuesday for $6.5 million, the historic 1830s mansion in the French Quarter features five bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, an elevator, chef’s gourmet kitchen and a separate two-story guest house. “It’s beautiful [and has] off-street parking,” listing agent Nycholas Hynes of Latter & Blum says of the property, while declining to identify the current owners. “That’s a real gem in the French Quarter.” Jolie and Pitt are letting go of the property in order to look for something “more off the beaten path,” a rep for the couple tells PEOPLE. The rep adds that Jolie and Pitt plan to remain involved in the city’s Lower Ninth Ward through the Make It Right foundation, a nonprofit that builds homes for communities in need. Last year, Pitt and pal Matthew McConaughey were caught having a fun neighborly exchange on their balconies. After realizing they lived across the street from one another, Pitt went inside his home to grab a beer and lobbed it over to McConaughey, who popped it right open for a sip. • Reporting by PATRICIA MURRET RELATED VIDEO: Angelina Jolie’s Inspiring Speech: ‘Different Is Good’
