Boyce Avenue is back.

Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano – the indie band of brothers who got their start uploading covers to YouTube before releasing original music in 2009 – have a new single, “Be Somebody,” and PEOPLE has an exclusive first listen.

“Throughout the creation of our upcoming album, we ve always come back to this song as one of our favorites. We started playing this song live before we had even finished recording it. And the reaction from our fans was overwhelmingly positive,” Daniel, 35, tells PEOPLE.

“So now that the song is out, we’re even more amped to play it on our upcoming world tour. There s a hopefulness and vibrant energy to the song that we think people will really appreciate.”

The indie act boasts more than 7.6 million followers on YouTube and is the most popular independent band on the site with more than 2 billion views – not to mention, has performed with everyone from Kris Allen to Fifth Harmony – plans to release its third full-length album, Road Less Traveled, next year.

“Be Somebody” – the trio’s first new track since last year’s EP, No Limits – is available on iTunes Friday.
