It was a sad Thanksgiving for Megadeth musician Dave Mustaine, who learned on Wednesday night that the body of his missing mother-in-law had been found.

Sally Estabrook had been missing since Oct. 4, when she disappeared from a campground near Julian, California. The 76-year-old, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, disappeared when her husband went to take a shower.

Mustaine, 53, who had publicly pleaded for help finding his mother-in-law, confirmed the news on his Facebook page, writing, “Yesterday evening I received a call that a person had located a body and the investigators from SDSD Homicide Division described our beloved mother, Sally Estabrook. Thank you all for your prayers, your good thoughts, and positive vibes.”

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department said in a press release that deputies responded to a call Wednesday afternoon about a body in some heavy shrubbery about half a mile from where Estabrook was last seen. The clothing on the body closely resembled what Estabrook was wearing on the day she went missing.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is waiting on autopsy results to determine the cause and manner of death, but the Sheriff’s Department said it doesn’t appear any foul play was involved.
