Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston may be heading to the home of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
Brown, who has been shopping the idea of a reality series–tentatively titled Being Bobby Brown–since last spring, is now in negotiations to take his show to Bravo the cable network home of Queer Eye, says the Hollywood Reporter.
A deal has not been finalized because an agreement hasn’t been reached regarding how much Houston would appear in the program. “We are in negotiations, and it has not yet been decided as to what, if any, Ms. Houston’s participation will be,” a spokesperson for Houston said.
One thing seems certain: Together, the couple could draw a sizable television audience. Their appearance last year for an interview with Diane Sawyer on Primetime Live scored high ratings, and the past nine months have seen the couple in the news for numerous reasons, including Houston’s stint in rehab and Brown’s multiple incarcerations for drunk driving and failure to pay child support.
Brown’s own production company, B2 Entertainment, has footage for the show that was shot during the past year, when Brown was released from jail and Houston was in rehab. The show is also expected to focus on Brown’s efforts to rejuvenate his career.
