There was no shortage of conflict when it came to the planning of Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s funeral.

But a family source tells PEOPLE that there was one thing that both the Brown and the Houston families were able to agree on – that they would use Brown’s favorite colors in the service to honor her.

“That was Pat [Houston]’s idea, but those were Krissy’s favorite colors. Her bedroom was in those colors. That’s one thing we all agreed on, was that we should honor Krissy,” the source reveals.

The theme was certainly on full display on the day, with pallbearers wearing pink Converse sneakers and belts around their waists, while other guests also wore pink pieces. TMZ reports that the funeral program was accented with a pink ribbon.

Brown, 22, was buried at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey on Monday afternoon next to her late mother, Whitney Houston.

Her casket arrived arrived in a gold hearse with a police escort, followed by black limousines carrying Cissy and Pat Houston and Brown’s uncle Tommy Brown. Dionne Warwick was also in attendance.

Brown died surrounded by her family on July 26, nearly six months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Roswell, Georgia, home on Jan. 31.

Her boyfriend Nick Gordon – who was not in attendance – is facing a $40 million civil lawsuit. In the papers filed by Brown’s conservators, he is accused of domestic abuse and theft of money.
