Though Brown, 46, is Bobbi Kristina’s closest living relative and makes decisions regarding her health, he is not the executor of her estate. Her grandmother, Cissy Houston, and her uncle and aunt Gary and Pat Houston administer the $20 million trust that was left to Bobbi Kristina when her mother, Whitney Houston, died. “Bobby is Krissy’s father. He only wants what’s best for her,” a Brown source tells PEOPLE. “This is not about him taking her money – he has money of his own. This is about making sure that she will have the best care for as long as she needs The truth is that he wants to get her the best care she can possibly get, that’s all.” Details surrounding Brown’s latest move are slim, but a lawyer for Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother reportedly released a statement to the local news station, saying: “This is a family matter involving sensitive information. We hope to resolve this in a manner that is respectful of Bobbi Kristina’s sensitive health information. The Houston family has always looked out for the best interest of Bobbi Kristina Brown. The family has done so all of her life and will continue to do so. We trust that others have the same objective.” Houston and Brown’s daughter, 22, was first found unresponsive in a bathtub on Jan. 31 and was put in a medically induced coma before being transferred to a long-term care facility last month, and source told PEOPLE last week her condition “has not changed.” After Brown told a crowd Bobbi Kristina “is awake” on April 18, Houston responded, telling PEOPLE in a statement: “I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital, and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma, she has a tracheotomy, and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me.” • Reporting by STEVE HELLING More on Bobbi Kristina Brown: The Facts About Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Medical Condition•Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Aunt Claims People ‘Lust’ Over Her Niece’s Fortune and Want to Do Her Harm•Bobby Brown on Daughter Bobbi Kristina’s Condition: ‘God Is Hearing Our Prayers’•Cissy Houston: Bobbi Kristina Brown Has ‘Irreversible Brain Damage’ and ‘Remains Unresponsive’•Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Condition ‘Has Not Changed,’ Says Source•Bobby Brown Tells Crowd: Bobbi Kristina ‘Is Awake’•Bobby Brown Rushes Back to Bobbi Kristina’s Bedside Following First Public Appearance•Bobby Brown Acknowledges ‘Rough Times’ in First Appearance Since Bobbi Kristina’s Hospitalization•Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Boyfriend Nick Gordon ‘Is Responding Well’ to Rehab, Source Says•Bobbi Kristina Brown: Inside the Family’s Plan for the Future•What Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Life Is Like Now•Cissy Houston Breaks Silence on Bobbi Kristina: ‘There’s Not a Great Deal of Hope’ Bobbi Kristina: Her Life in Pictures
