Love is in the air!
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton put their romance on display at a charity event in the Hamptons on Saturday night. Stefani, 46, was set to perform at the Apollo in the Hamptons event, a fundraiser held to raise funds for education and mentoring programs for youth at the historic Harlem theater. But Shelton, 40, surprised everyone in attendance, and the two performed the song they co-wrote, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” to open Stefani’s set.
After leaving the stage, Shelton was his leading lady’s biggest fan. Blake sat in front of the stage in the converted barn to watch her perform “Hollaback Girl” with Pharrell Williams, “Don’t Speak” and “Keep on Dancing.” She got the crowd going and Blake was her biggest cheerleader.
At one point, Shelton and Jennifer Lopez got up and started dancing.
He was even air guitar-ing throughout her performance. At one point she said, “The tall guy stood up first – good job, Blake.”
The couple, who started dating late last year after meeting on The Voice, were very sweet and affectionate together and Stefani sat with her arm around Shelton and gave him a kiss.
