Four years ago, Wesley Snipes, now 39, starred as Eric, better known as “Blade,” in the vampire movie of the same name. Now, reports PEOPLE, he’s back in “Blade 2,” the further adventures of the fellow who’s out to avenge the death of his mother, who died from a vampire’s bite. “It’s a blast,” he said about returning to the role. “To get one opportunity to play a superhero is one thing, but to get a second — wow! And you get to make up for all the mistakes in the first one.” Such as? “There were a lot of experiments — voice, look, tone, timbre, even the style of martial arts I used.” This time, he insists, “We have a better story. We just wanted to raise the level. I think for what ‘Blade 1’ was, it was an extraordinary accomplishment and thus, good enough to spawn the second one.” Asked if Arnold Schwarzenegger could have played his action-hero part, Snipes sniped, “Absolutely not. I don’t think Arnold can pull the black guy thing off.” As for how Blade would fare in a battle against Batman, the star boasted, “I’d take his utility belt and spank him with it.”
