Biological Mother Of Rosie O'Donnell's Daughter Breaks Her Silence, 'I Just Always Wanted Her'

Deanna Micoley, the biological mother of Rosie O’Donnell’s 18-year-old daughter Chelsea, has broken her silence on meeting the child she says she never wanted to give up.

“I just always wanted her and I’m so happy she’s a part of my life now,” Micoley said during an interview with Inside Edition.

Chelsea was adopted by O’Donnell and her former wife Kelli Carpenter in the late nineties, but Micoley claims she never agreed to place her daughter up for adoption and that Chelsea’s father drugged her before giving away the baby.

Although they had never met before, Chelsea later found Micoley on Facebook and the two exchanged messages without meeting, but after the child turned 18, Micoley drove from her home in Wisconsin to pick up her biological daughter.

“I just told her that I love her,” Micoley says in her interview. “[I said] I love you and I’m so glad that you found me.”

Chelsea returned to Wisconsin with her birth mother, but only stayed for six days. After which, Micoley says O’Donnell taunted her, sending a text message reading, “She stayed 6 days Bravo u.”

In the interviews, Micoley admits that she and Chelsea are not speaking, but she wants the young girl to know that her door is always open.

“I just want to be part of her live,” she says. “I want to walk her down the aisle. I want to be there at her wedding. I want to be there when she has her first baby.”
