Bindi Irwin Posts Adorable Goodbye Message to Boyfriend Chandler Powell: 'I Will See You Again Soon!'

Bindi Irwin said goodbye to her boyfriend Chandler Powell on Thursday, and penned him a sweet note as he made his return to Florida.

Irwin, 18, dropped off Powell, a professional wakeboarder who is currently a college student in Florida, at the airport in Australia and admitted to fans and followers that saying goodbye to her beau “never gets easier.”

“You are flying back to the USA today. Dropping you off at the airport & waving goodbye, it never gets easier. Thank you for the most wonderful adventures these last few months. We even got to celebrate your 20th birthday here in Australia together, hiking through the Great Dividing Range!” she captioned an adorable Instagram photo of the couple snuggling.

“I’ve known you since you were 16 and every day, from the very first day I met you, you’ve been my sunshine. I will see you again soon!” the post continued.

She concluded the note: “Thank you for everything, you always make me smile, no matter how far apart we may be. Have fun while you’re away, go find lots of manatees in Florida for me! I miss you so much already. You really do mean the world to me.”

Irwin and her boyfriend, 20, first met in November 2013 while he was visiting the Australia zoo, and have since been in a steady, long-distance relationship.

But although the late Crocodile Hunter‘s daughter is happily in love, she isn’t quite ready to walk down the aisle.

“I don’t think I’m at a point in my life where marriage and getting engaged is really a huge priority right now for me,” Irwin told Entertainment Tonight in July. “Maybe in five years, but right now I’m really happy with where I’m at.”
