Celebrity Beyoncé Releases a New Trailer for 'Lemonade', but the HBO Event Still Remains a Complete Mystery Cancel your plans for April 23 By Char Adams Published on April 16, 2016 01:40 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Getty Beyonce Knowles is just full of surprises. Although Queen Bey’s new, highly-anticipated album has yet to drop, she kept fans on the edge of their seats Saturday, teasing a “world premiere event” called “LEMONADE” to premiere on April 23 on HBO. She posted a video on Instagram on Saturday, and included a simple caption: “#LEMONADE 4.23 9PM HBO.” The cryptic clip appeared to feature Beyoncé with her head down, donning a fur coat and braids. The “Formation” singer is heard in the video saying, “What am I gonna do?” On Sunday, Beyoncé released a longer teaser, showing flashes of different scenes – many of them featuring the singer in various outfits – and with a whispered voiceover. While the clip was longer, it still didn’t offer any clues as what exactly Queen Bey had in store for her fans. However, despite the post’s mysterious nature, the Twittersphere is anxiously awaiting the event, with #LEMONADE becoming one of the app’s trending topics. “#LEMONADE IS COMING!!!!!” one user tweeted. Another wrote: “Beyoncé about to change the game AGAIN #LEMONADE.” The Saturday announcement came just two days after the singer’s athleisure clothing line “Ivy Park” hit stores. Beyoncé gushed about the new line in a rare interview with Elle magazine (she appeared on the publication’s U.S. and U.K. May 2016 covers), calling the brand a message of self-love. “It’s really the essence: to celebrate every woman and the body she’s in while always striving to be better,” she said.
