2013 is shaping up to be the year of Beyoncé.

After a powerful Super Bowl halftime show, the singer, 31, is embarking on the Mrs. Carter world tour – and just added a special performance.

Beyoncé will return to New Orleans’s Superdome to headline one of three concerts during the 19th annual Essence Festival, the magazine confirms.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Beyoncé back to the 2013 Essence Festival lineup. She is truly the ultimate Essence woman,” Communications President Michelle Ebanks said in a statement.

The festival will also include performances by Jill Scott, Maxwell, New Edition, Charlie Wilson, Keyshia Cole, LL Cool J and Brandy.

But that’s not all for the ever-busy mom to Blue Ivy. Aside from her own HBO special Life Is But a Dream slated to air on Feb. 16, Beyoncé will also sit down with Oprah for an episode of Next Chapter on OWN – which will also air Feb. 16.
