They might not have been together at the Met Gala, but Beyoncé and Jay Z found time for a family date night on Thursday.

The couple hit up New York restaurant Mamo for an intimate dinner with their daughter Blue Ivy, 4.

A source told PEOPLE that Jay, 46, and the "Formation" singer, 34, held hands during their romantic dinner at the eatery, which they’ve been to before, as they like the chef there.

Actor Adrien Brody was also there and he came by to their table to say hello to the famous couple.

Following the release of Beyoncé’s newest album, "Lemonade," speculation about the couple’s marriage was at an all time high, but their recent outings – including a casual dinner in Miami after the singer kicked off her Formation World Tour last week – quickly shut down any breakup rumors.

Despite the controversy that “Lemonade” stirred up, another source close to the couple told PEOPLE last month that although the musicians did deal with some issues in their relationship, they’re past it now.

“They definitely went through a rough patch a couple years ago, but they came out stronger in the end,” the source said.
