Bette Midler Weighs in on Justin Bieber's Nude Photo Scandal, Accuses His Dad of 'Abandoning His Son'
Nude photos of Bieber were published earlier this week
Never say that Bette Midler is afraid to speak her mind.
The 69-year-old singer weighed in on the controversy surrounding Justin Bieber‘s nude photos on Saturday, issuing a stinging response to a tweet sent out by the young singer’s dad, Jeremy Bieber.
For those who need a refresher: Justin was recently photographed in the buff while vacationing in Bora Bora. The pictures were published in The New York Daily News and the Internet had quite the reaction, including Jeremy.
“@justinbieber what do you feed that thing,” Jeremy tweeted on Friday. “#proud daddy.” (The tweet has since been deleted and it should be noted that Justin is threatening legal action against those who published his nude photos.)
Midler issued her own response of sorts on Saturday, tweeting, “.@justinbieber dad tweeted he’s proud of his son’s penis size. I think the biggest d— in this situation is the dad who abandoned his son.”
To be fair to Jeremy, while Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette, raised him as a single mother, the singer has previously said that he has “a great relationship” with his dad.
“When I was younger, he taught me how to play some songs on the guitar, like ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ by Bob Dylan,” Justin said back in 2010.
