Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams (in Chloe) –who debuted a new pixie cut – make their entrance at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday, where Williams was up for best actress for Land of Plenty.
Josh Hartnett and Lucy Liu, who costarred in Lucky Number Slevin, enjoy each other's company backstage in the green room. Liu, who wore a Zac Posen dress, says getting ready for the awards "wasn't a big deal. I get in the outfit and get going!"
Sherrybaby's Maggie Gyllenhaal, who arrived in Proenza Schouler, wouldn't reveal which designer she's wearing to the Academy Awards the next day, but did admit, "I'm terrified to present at the Oscars. I hope I can walk in my shoes, that I can read the TelePrompter okay."
Rachel Bilson, whose TV show The O.C. marked its series finale on Thursday, signs autographs outside the Independent Spirit Awards. Bilson is next slated to star in director Doug Liman's thriller Jumper.
Nominee Amber Tamblyn (for Stephanie Daley) and America Ferrera, who costarred in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, keep up the bond inside the show.
Sean Penn and Daniel Craig (a.k.a. James Bond) share a manly greeting from behind dual sets of shades on the Spirit Awards red carpet. Craig was up for his supporting role inInfamous, but lost to Little Miss Sunshine's Alan Arkin.
