Benedict Cumberbatch wasn’t the only TV celebrity standing at the altar on his wedding day.

The Imitation Game star, 38, and wife Sophie Hunter may have kept their Valentine’s Day ceremony under wraps, but the best man mystery has been revealed: it was TV judge Robert Rinder!

Cumberbatch’s longtime pal Rinder was one of three friends that performed best man duties at the wedding in Mottistone, England, on Saturday, a source revealed to The Sun.

Despite reports that he was a best man, Martin Freeman, Sherlock‘s Dr. Watson, did not attend the nuptials.

“Benedict had three best men, but only one was famous, and that was Judge Rinder,” the insider told the U.K. newspaper.

Who is the famed TV barrister?

Rinder stars on the reality court show Judge Rinder – the Britain’s equivalent to Judge Judy – and is also a columnist for The Sun. Cumberbatch and the daytime TV personality have been friends since they attended Manchester University together.

“They kept it pretty quiet. They were friends before either found fame,” the source said.

Their vows of friendship were mutual. The Sherlock star, who is expecting his first child with his wife later this year, officiated Judge Rinder’s wedding to longtime love Seth Cumming in Ibiza in 2013, The Sun reported.

Cumberbatch’s rep declined to comment.
