Sir Ben Kingsley has married for the fourth time, to Brazilian actress Daniela Barbosa de Carneiro, the Oscar winner’s rep confirms to the BBC.

Kingsley, 63, and Barbosa, 34, who have been together since February 2006, marked their wedding with a private reception for friends and family members in the garden of their home in Oxfordshire, England.

The 1982 Gandhi Best Actor called the festivities “blissfully private and beautiful. … We had a lovely lunch on the lawn. It was very simple and very happy.”

The couple are now in Toronto, where they reportedly are attending the film festival and Kingsley is shooting The Love Guru with Mike Myers, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Alba.

“It is a perfectly-balanced relationship, which like scales, includes its swings,” the new groom is quoted as saying. “Without sounding pompous, she looks like a combination of ancient Egypt and ancient Rome. I love mythology and Shakespeare and so does she. We have that connection.”

Now called Lady Kingsley (Sir Ben was knighted in 2001), Barbosa has done several small roles on television, including those in Britain’s EastEnders and Ali G Indahouse, says the BBC.
