The 44-year-old actor and father of three said Garner was stumping for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in Reno, Nevada.
The 44-year-old actor and father of three told EXTRA at the red carpet premiere of his new film The Accountant on Monday that his estranged wife has been stumping for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in Nevada, and he couldn’t be more impressed.
“She’s in Reno. Doing what she believes in. Which is great. Think it’s awesome. And I’m so impressed by it — her and everything she does,” he said. “She’s a great mom and that’s how it is.”
The couple announced they were divorcing after 10 years of marriage in June of 2015. Despite their split, the pair have remained amicable and have continued with co-parenting their kids, Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4.
While on the subject of the mother of his children, Affleck said the two try their “best” to make co-parenting work. They’re also planning on celebrating Halloween together with their children.
“We both take them trick or treating,” he said, adding that his kids aren’t quite sure what they’ll dress up as. “They’re still working on it. They haven’t decided on a character. I’m not gonna dress up this year. I’m gonna go as Dad.”
Garner also took the children to Europe to see their dad while he was filming Justice League there, telling the Today show: “I felt like, ‘Well the kids should have that experience,’ and he and I are great friends and we just, we just all went en masse.”
