Ben Affleck may be an Oscar winner who stars as a buffed-up and intense Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but before his superhero days (and before he was a married father of three), he was a struggling actor starring in a Burger King commercial in 1989.

Flash back to a time when cars had phones (specifically ones that had cords), hair was high and fly, everyone had a letterman jacket, and Burger King served “chef salads.”

In the commercial, a beautiful woman accidentally calls Affleck’s phone asking if it’s Burger King and if they could deliver a salad. How did she accidentally call Affleck’s phone instead of Burger King? So many unanswered questions.

In the end, Affleck’s car phone rings just before the woman answers the door and he misses that opportunity. Such a shame, because otherwise there is no doubt she would have fallen in love with the faux Burger King delivery man.

Now, imagine if he’d had the Batmobile …
